Cruise with us through the “epicenter” of marine biodiversity on Earth — the Visayas Archipelago. Negros, Cebu, and Malapascua are part of the Coral Triangle, home to more than 12,000 species of fish.
This exceptional liveaboard safari takes to Dauin, famous for its world-class muck diving, to Moalboal and Pescador Island with its legendary sardine run, Sipaway, known for its thresher shark cleaning stations, Bantayan Island, and finally Malapascua — the legendary thresher shark island of the Philippines.
The route uniquely connects the best muck-diving destination in the Visayas, Dauin, with one of the most spectacular big-fish destinations in the Philippines, Malapascua & Sipaway island.
In addition to thresher and whale sharks, there are also excellent chances of encounters with tiger sharks, white-tip and black-tip reef sharks, and the rare white-spotted bamboo shark around Gato Island. With a bit of luck, up to six different shark species can be seen on this tour.
Best Macro & Shark Combination
The connection between the best macro diving spot and the best thresher shark destination in the Philippines follows a route where, in addition to reef sharks and whale sharks, you may also see hunting thresher sharks off Moalboal or Sipaway. Along the way, you can enjoy impressive fish schools, dramatic walls, and the finest muck diving sites in the Visayas.
What is a dive safari? A dive safari is not comparable to the luxurious live-aboards and diving cruises. On this safari you spend the whole day on a Philippine outrigger boat adapted to diving, you are in the fresh sea air, diving, eating and relaxing! The evenings are spent on land in a beach hotel, to do it all again the next day!
