The Galapagos Islands are a world-renowned scuba diving destination, famous for their unique and abundant marine life. Big animal encounters, including hammerhead sharks, whale sharks, and marine iguanas and turtles are a major draw. Flying from Sydney to Quito, Ecuador, we head to the island of Santa Cruz, Galapagos. Here you will spend 6 days exploring Galapagos above and below. Dive sites include Gordon Rock, North Seymour & Mosquera Islet.
Gordon Rocks stands as an unparalleled dive site off Santa Cruz Island, perfect for those seeking an adrenaline-pumping experience amidst the captivating marine life of the Galapagos. From the iconic hammerhead shark schools to the possibility of encountering mola mola, hammerheads, and whale sharks, divers are in for an unforgettable adventure. With its robust currents and remarkable biodiversity, Gordon Rocks promises a dynamic and awe-inspiring underwater world, best suited for intermediate divers eager for thrill and discovery.
Diving at Seymour in the Galapagos Islands is an amazing experience known for its breathtaking marine biodiversity. Seymour Island offers divers a chance to encounter a variety of marine life, including colorful fish, sea lions, sharks, rays, and even encounters with schooling hammerhead sharks and whale sharks. The underwater landscape at Seymour is also diverse, with rocky formations, coral reefs, and underwater caves to explore. Diving at Seymour is often considered a bucket-list experience for diving enthusiasts due to its unique and untouched underwater ecosystems.
There is so much to do in Galapagos, and we have some great optional tours available, such as the Giant Galapagos Tortoise experience, the Lava tunnels, the Charles Darwin research centre and exciting day tours to amazing sites.
